History: Alexandra is from the strange world of Fa'Diel, a world that itself is slowly being rebuilt, though none of its inhabitants, save one, are aware of this. Alexandra is a Jumi, a race of people most known for the large gemstones embedded in their chests, known as their cores. Alex's core is (unsurprisingly) the alexandrite. The alexandrite is a stone that is green in daylight and purple under moonlight. This dual nature manifests in Alex as the curious ability to change genders.

Alexandra was ‘born’ somewhere in the Norn Mountains of Fa’Diel and discovered by the Windcallers, a group of bird-people who are devoted to the dragon Akravator. She was brought to Etansel and placed in the Strata of Lucidia, the highest rank possible for a Knight. For several centuries, she trained with all sorts of weapons with the ultimate mission of protecting the Clarius with the rest of the Royal Knights.
As the Jumi tears began to dry up, Alexandra noticed with growing concern that the Clarius was beginning to weaken. She disagreed strongly with the idea that Florina should have to bear the burden of healing the entire race. But Diana simply wrote off Alex’s opinion as one who was lovesick, as it was now obvious that Alexandra was close to the Clarius. However, Alexandra was not the only one was concerns, as Florina continued to ail. Blackpearl, distressed by her guardian’s condition, sought out the Sword of Mana as a last attempt at saving her race. She made Alexandra Florina’s Knight in her stead. This was just what Alexandra was waiting for. One night, she took the Clarius away, away from her duties, her burdens, from her death sentence. The entire city fell apart as no one could heal now. The Jumi scattered and abandoned Etansel. When she heard about the news, Blackpearl immediately sought out Alexandra for an explanation and to implore the knight to return Florina. Instead, a furious Alex attacked Blackpearl, slicing into her core with a throwing knife and left her for dead.
Alex hid Florina in a pocket dimension he had obtained, Pandora’s Box. In his mind, he thought Florina would be safest there, until he could figure out a way to heal her frail core. For a long time, he searched, following on rumors of a creature that could create a Teardrop Crystal, something that would heal Florina completely, since she could not heal herself with her own tears. Finally, he discovered this most peculiar creature, the living essence of a black hole, able to devour anything and compress it all into oneness. Alex called it the “Lord of Jewels”, and swore to it that he would do anything that it needed to create the rare item. The Lord of Jewels told Alex that it could create one if it had 1000 Jumi cores. It didn’t have to tell Alex twice. Immediately he began to search for the cores.
The search took a very long time, but Alexandra was determined. As a disguise, she used her gender-switching abilities to her advantage. When she was searching for the cores, she took on the name “Sandra”. When he was back at his base of operations, disguised as a jewelry shop, he became “Alex”. Sandra became well-known as an unmatchable jewel thief, who supposedly stole only the most brilliant of stones, when in reality, she sought out Jumi cores, often times not even recognized by their owners. As the number of loose cores dwindled, she began to viciously attack any living Jumi she could find, often taunting, and then killing them. Alex, on the other hand, was very mundane, barely known even within the city he lived in.
The count of cores stolen began to add up, until only a few were left. Alexandra was beginning to face resistance from the not-yet Mana Knight. And yet he continued; he was so close. The 99th core was Elazul’s, as he sacrificed himself to keep Alex from taking Pearl’s core. The plan had succeeded, for the last core, Alex offered up his own core, before falling into a pile for dust that shimmered purple and green.
Or had it? In battle with the Lord of Jewels, the Mana Knight was victorious. The creature died, leaving behind only fragments of cores. Now Pearl and Florina were the only two remaining Jumi left. Distraught, the Mana Knight was brought to tears. But as the warning went “Whoever cries for the Jumi will be turned to stone,” and the heroine was petrified. But not before she created a miracle. On her cheek lay a Tear Drop crystal. This one small stone was able to revive all the shattered Jumi. They, in turn, each shed off a tiny piece of their own core to heal the Knight, and regained their ability to cry for one another.
With all the Jumi resurrected and the Clarius back, Etansel was reinhabited. Alexandra went into self-imposed exile (much to Florina’s dismay), and went back to his shop in Geo, where he has remained ever since.
